junction boxes & Test stations

Anode Junction Box

Anode junction Boxes are used for terminating the anode cables and for connecting them with main positive cable
coming from the DC – source unit.
Anode Junction Boxes can be provided with a shunt to measure the output current of each anode or group of anodes
and also with a variable resistor for adjusting individual output current of each anode circuit.

The Cathode junction boxes auxiliary devices:

  • variable resistors for adjustments of currents
  • shunts for measurements of currents
  • blocking diodes to prevent the flow of currents in reverse direction
  • terminals for cable lugs or screw clamp connections
  • cable glands or conduits for cable entries

Enclosures

Enclosures in steel, aluminum, polyester or stainless steel as outdoor weatherproof design to IP 65 and different EXversions are available.
In addition, various types of enclosures can be supplied workshop-built and tested to fulfill the required standards, layouts and site conditions.

Accessories

Hot dip galvanized steel frames for fixing on foundations or supports for wall mounting with conduits etc. can also be supplied on request.

Cathode Junction Box

In case of a common impressed current cathodic protection system is provided for a number of separate metallic structures, it becomes necessary to adjust or balance the flow of protective current between the protected structures by using a Cathode Junction Box.

The Anode junction boxes auxiliary devices:

  • shunts for measurements of currents
  • blocking diodes to prevent the flow of currents in reverse direction

Test Stations

Permanent Test Stations are provided at selected locations along the protected structure to check, monitor and control the performance of cathodic protections.

Various types and shapes of test posts meeting BS, NACE and IPS standards are available in ARMIN works. Special production according to different requirement for cathodic protection projects to meet client specifications is also possible.

Additionally various types of Test Post Such as Big Fink can be subject of supply, produced by OEM companies such as Cottee and Tinker &Rasor companies, within either HDPE or Galvanized steel pipes.
